Meet Natalie
Greetings, my name is Natalie Gidney-Cole. I am a licensed clinical social worker, a Duke trained and certified integrative health coach and the founder of NRG-Coaching, PLLC. With over 25 years of experience working with individuals, children, adolescents and families, I understand the importance of effective intervention in supporting sustainable change and overall well-being. I am passionate about helping others reach their point of self-actualization - which is a fancy way of saying, "living your best life, now."
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and my Master's Degree in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, D.C. I am licensed by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board (C002946).
In addition to the required social work licensure, I recently obtained the Board Certified Diplomat (BCD) in clinical social work. This credential certifies that I am an advanced mental health (social work) practitioner. (BCD #61437) I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW)
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, compassion, and non-judgment. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings, and can develop the skills and tools needed to thrive.

Personal Background

I am originally from a suburban area outside of Cleveland, Ohio, where my family and I integrated not only the neighborhood but the schools in which I matriculated. Although my childhood experiences did not create a lack of friendships, I remember feeling an outsider as a result of the prejudice and discrimination I experienced first-hand. These experiences are some of my first memories of God's calling me into a vocation that helps others who themselves have experienced the "imposter syndrome."
I have one son, who recently graduated from North Carolina State University (GoPack!) and am an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
