Greetings!

Meet Natalie R. Gidney, MSW, LCSW, BCD

Natalie R. Gidney-Cole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Duke-trained and certified Integrative Health Coach, and the founder of NRG-Coaching, PLLC in Durham, North Carolina. With over 25 years of experience serving individuals, children, adolescents, and families, Natalie is recognized for her ability to blend clinical expertise with deep empathy and a holistic understanding of human wellness.

Her work is grounded in the belief that true healing involves both science and spirit. Through a compassionate, evidence-based approach, Natalie empowers clients to overcome challenges, cultivate resilience, and reach their highest potential — what she calls self-actualization, or simply, living one’s best and most authentic life now.

Natalie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She is licensed by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board (C002946) and holds the Board-Certified Diplomate (BCD #61437) designation in Clinical Social Work — one of the highest national credentials in the field. She is also a long-standing member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Natalie’s approach integrates empathy, humor, and spiritual insight, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, gain new perspectives, and experience meaningful, lasting change.

Personal Background

Transform Your Life with NRG Coaching PLLC Counseling

I am originally from a suburban area outside of Cleveland, Ohio, where my family and I integrated not only the neighborhood but the schools in which I matriculated.  Although my childhood experiences did not create a lack of friendships, I remember feeling an outsider as a result of the prejudice and discrimination I experienced first-hand.  These experiences are some of my first memories of God's calling me into a vocation that helps others who themselves have experienced the "imposter syndrome."

I have one son, who recently graduated from North Carolina State University (GoPack!) and am an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
